Phil Wood & Co. has been making their own tools since 1971, beginning with its hub axle removal tool (now out of production) and followed by the square taper bottom bracket tool in 1973. Phil Wood & Co. designs and manufactures all tools in-house with the same quality and care as their other product lines. We strongly believe that tools should feel natural to use and should complement existing tools. We do our best to create tools to meet needs that are not currently being serviced (our outboard bottom bracket bearing replacement tool being the most widely used). There are always tools that are in various stages of pre-production which will be added to this section as needed.
