Lock Ring Tools

The steel lock ring interface is made to fit the Phil Wood, White Industries, or Campagnolo lock ring and is secured to a color-coded, aluminum outer cog. The outer cog has 22 teeth, machined at half-height, and color-coded to quickly differentiate brand compatibility. This modified outer cog allows the user to initially hand-tighten the lock ring with no discomfort and to use a chain whip to securely tighten the lock ring to the appropriate torque.

In addition to lock ring-specific tools, Phil Wood also offers a similarly designed tool for Shimano crank bolts.
