Belt Sprockets

Phil Wood manufactures sprockets for all standard bolt patterns and BCDs applicable to those patterns. Additionally, we manufacture sprockets that are compatible with the White Industries crank and the Paul Components crank. Due to the nature of the Gates carbon reinforced belt, chain line (belt line) is extremely important. Unlike a chain, there is very little deflection available in a belt drive system and deviation from the "theoretical" belt line is very minute. We define the centerline of the belt as being 5mm from the inside of the flange of either the sprocket or the cog. To accommodate various configurations, we offer the ability to shift the geometry of the teeth relative to the sprocket/crank fixing bolts on the sprocket to match a desired chain line determined by a fixed position for the rear cog.

Road

Road belt drive sprockets are available in the I.S.O. disc brake bolt pattern. This specification is 6 bolts, evenly spaced on a 44mm bolt circle. The bolt threading is M5 x 0.8mm

Mountain

Mountain bike belt drive sprockets are available for 130, xxx, and xxmm BCDs.
